Attention Harry Potter Fans!
Did you know that you can get your hands on Harry Potter Butterbeer frappuccinos and lattes at your local Starbucks?!?
As y’all may or not know, we love finding and testing out restaurants’ secret menus.
From our research, there may not be a chain with more known secret menu items than Starbucks. In fact, the Starbucks secret menu is so large, it’s probably 100X bigger than its normal.
Because Starbucks has such a vast secret menu, we’re going to highlight and provide our honest feedback on the most famous Starbucks secret menu items out there.
To start, we’re beginning with the menu item that Gavin was most excited for: the Starbucks butterbeer frappuccino modeled after Harry Potter’s butterbeer.
What shocked us at first about the butterbeer frap is that the main recipe doesn’t actually call for any Starbucks coffee or espresso! The OG butterbeer frap is actually classified as a creme frappuccino. It has a ton of caramel and toffee flavoring.
To have your local Starbucks barista make this unique drink for you, reference the Butterbeer Frappuccino recipe:
Ask for a grande creme frappuccino
Add 2-3 caramel and 2-3 toffee syrup shots depending on your preferred sweetness level
Ask for an extra caramel drizzle all over
Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra pizazz
Our final thoughts on this famous Starbucks secret menu item:
If you do three shots of flavoring it will be extremely sweet to a point that you’ll drive straight to your local dentist.
Do yourself a favor and tone down the syrup shots, and add a shot of espresso to give your frappuccino a little touch of Harry Potter caffeine magic.
Although this took us back to our Harry Potter reading/watching days, this wouldn’t be a normal rotational Starbucks order for us due to the high sugar and fat content.
So in short, save this for a special occasion. Perhaps a Harry Potter marathon watch party?
