Since you are using the seasoning packet in the beef and broccoli ramen stir fry recipe, you don’t need to add any additional salt to any of the ingredients.

Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein Recipe with Ramen Noodles
Makes 3 servings
Prep Time: 13 Minutes
Cook Time: 2 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups broccoli, blanched
- 1 pound steak, cut against the grain into 2 inch strips
- 3 packages of beef flavored ramen noodles, reserving one packet of beef seasoning for the sauce, discarding the other 2 seasoning packets
- ½ cup warm water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp sesame oil, divided
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 garlic, grated
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onion, for garnish
Directions:
- Start by boiling two pots of water.
- Once boiling, add the trimmed broccoli to one of the tops and boil for 2 minutes, then remove the broccoli from the boiling water and blanch in a bowl of ice water for 2 more minutes. Remove from the ice water and reserve until combining all ingredients.
- Meanwhile, in the other pot, add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and cook for two minutes. Then remove from the water and toss in a bowl with a drizzle of sesame oil to prevent sticking.
- Next, add the water, beef ramen seasoning packet and corn starch to a jar with a lid. Close and shake to combine.
- Then add in 1 tbsp of the sesame oil, the brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger and garlic to that same mason jar. Shake again to combine.
- Heat up the additional 1 tbsp sesame oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Sear the steak strips for 2-3 minutes. Then remove the steak from the pan to avoid overcooking the meat.
- Reduce the heat to medium low. Add the sauce to the pan, and use a spoon or spatula to scrape up the brown bits from the seared steak. Cook for 2-3 minutes to start to thicken the sauce.
- Finally, add in the noodles, steak and broccoli, cook for 1-2 minutes to combine the flavors and heat everything through.
- Garnish with sliced green onion and sesame seeds.
