We live next to the grill in the summer. Grilling is such a healthy way to add more flavor to your dishes and we are always looking to create new recipes for the grill.
This recipe will give your barbecue a Hawaiian twist and will help you introduce a new ingredient to the grill, ham!
We received a massively juicy ham from Keller Crafted a few weeks ago, and this caused us to think about getting more creative in the kitchen. The smoked ham was already fully cooked so it’s an easy ingredient to add to dishes for lots of extra flavor,
These kabobs are really simple to make and a fun activity to build together with your family or a friend.
Ingredients:
- One fresh pineapple, cubed
- 2 pounds Keller Crafted Smoked Maple Ham hock, cubed
- 1/2 red onion, cut in large chunks
- BBQ sauce
- Skewers
Alternate placing the ham, pineapple and onions through the skewer. Lightly brush with your favorite BBQ sauce, but don’t add too much or you might end up burning your skewers. We use my family’s homemade barbecue sauce, sorry guys, that recipe is still top secret!
Grill the skewers for a few minutes on each side, then flip. Once they are done, slather them with another coat of sauce. Enjoy this sweet and salty meal!
