Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to try out a romantic restaurant in Austin with your sweetie.
When putting this television segment together for Studio512, we took into account the food quality, ambiance, and unique appeal of hundreds of date night restaurants in Austin.
We finalized our list to the top 5.
Even if you don’t make it to these spots for Valentine’s Day, these spots are a great pick for any special occasion or date night.
Top Romantic Restaurants in Austin, Texas
Rosewood
This is definitely our current favorite date night restaurant.
Start by ordering a cocktail and a glass of wine, laying out one of their picnic blankets on the front lawn and watching the sunset over downtown. Then, head into Rosewood for an incredible meal.
The ambiance of this century-old Victorian home is intimate and romantic and the food has a gourmet twist on approachable dishes.
The menu changes daily, but everything we’ve tried at Rosewood is fantastic.

Le Politique
Nothing is more romantic than French food.
We frequently visit Le Politique during happy hour to share a half priced bottle of sparkling wine, their amazing french fries, and the most incredible french onion soup you’ll find in America.
This downtown French restaurant has an adorable bar area with a full raw bar, plus a patisserie full of delicious French pastries.
For a more formal dining experience, make a reservation in the dining room.

The Brewer’s Table
If your date is a beer lover, look no further than The Brewer’s Table.
In addition to finely crafted beers made on site, 26 guest taps, wine, and cocktails, enjoy some fantastic plates made in their open-concept kitchen.
The Brewer’s Table has to be the highest-quality gastro-pub in the country.
We love how they focus on putting nothing to waste. Excess ingredients from their kitchen often go into the beer they’re brewing and excess from the beer production are sometimes used in dishes like their toasted barley ice cream dessert.

Emmer and Rye
Emmer and Rye will be celebrating Valentine’s day with a specialty 7 course tasting menu.
Their menu is not only farm-to-table but they even mill their own heritage grains for pastas, breads, and desserts.
Additionally, they’re famous for their small-bite dim sum cart, and if you see it rolling around the restaurant be sure try a gourmet bite or two.
SkyHouse, 51 Rainey St #110, Austin, TX 78701, https://emmerandrye.com/
Pitchfork Pretty
One of Austin’s top new restaurants with a picturesque bar and romantic patio.
From their smokey oysters to some of the best vegan food in town (which says a lot since we are both definitely NOT vegan), this is the type of date night restaurant for any diner.
Their parsley spaetzle and mushroom pasta is so good, it could turn the biggest meat eater vegetarian.
2708 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702, http://pitchforkpretty.com/
