Easy, Thai Peanut Dipping Sauce

This is how to make peanut sauce right at home! We made this dipping sauce during our Asian tapas date night the other weekend. It reminded us so much of our trip to Thailand earlier this year.

Have you had a chance to read about Thai cuisine in Chiang Mai and Krabi travel guides!?

This peanut sauce recipe made enough sauce for our chicken satay, fresh shrimp spring rolls, AND took into account the sauce we were licking off of our fingers!

This Thai peanut sauce is super easy to make and acts as THE BEST satay dipping sauce. If’s also a good option when it comes to what to serve with chinese dumplings.

We were inspired to make this sauce when our friend Caleigh dropped up a TON of Homeplate Peanut Butter to try.

It is a local Austin company that was founded by MLB players. Supposedly baseball players eat a LOT of PB because it is high in protein and it is portable.

The issue is that the cheap stuff is full of bad-for-you fillers, and the natural stuff is too expensive and often required refrigeration.

Thus, Homeplate Peanut Butter was born: an all-natural product at a reasonable price point. They have three flavors: honey, creamy and chunky. We chose to use the chunky for this peanut sauce recipe. (Store Finder Here)

Makes roughly 1 ½ cups

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk (use original, not lite)

  • 2/3 cup Homeplate Chunky Peanut Butter

  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce

  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce

  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Thai red curry paste

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and ta-da, you have a super easy dipping sauce that is known to cause addiction. Make sure you pair it with our chicken satay and spring roll recipes!
