Whiskey Pecan Caramel Roll

Caramel Rolls with Whiskey Pecan Sauce

Sharing is caring!

It’s the holidays which means we’re adding spirits to everything, including our whiskey pecan caramel rolls!

There’s nothing better than filling your house with the smell of fresh baked sticky buns.  The smell is warming, sweet, and the smell of winter for us.

Whiskey Pecan Caramel Sauce

We’re huge fans of these whiskey sticky buns because the cinnamon roll glaze is super easy to make. (If you prefer a cinnamon roll icing, you might love this Pillsbury cinnamon roll donuts recipe).

We mixed together whiskey with butter and brown sugar to make a caramel sauce.

Then we added corn syrup to make our caramel rolls extra sticky.

This caramel sauce gets poured on top of pecans for the base of the sticky buns.

Feel free to use your favorite whiskey for this recipe.

We reached for a 12 year Irish whiskey, but any bourbon or rye will work for this whiskey pecan caramel roll sauce.

Ideally the whiskey will have a touch of sweetness to it over having spicy notes.

What’s also great about this recipe is that the caramel rolls also pair perfectly with the whiskey for a boozed up brunch.

Cheers to that!

Sticky Buns on a Plate

It’s as easy as combining a few ingredients on the stove top, adding it to a baking dish and adding your cinnamon roll dough.
