Croutons: Crack for Salads
You know that your favorite part of eating a salad is finding one of those deep fried, bread chunks beneath all those veggies.
If you are not making your own croutons, you are seriously missing out. It is mind boggling that old, stale bread can turn into the highlight of your mundane Monday office lunch.
Here is an easy step-by-step tutorial on making homemade croutons.

Step 1: Cut/rip stale bread into cubes. Season with garlic powder and salt.

Giving new life to old bread
Step 2: Heat up vegtable oil in a pan. It should cover about 1/2 inch of the bottom of your skillet. Once the oil start to ripple, you know it’s ready.
Step 3: Keep throwing your bread cubes into the oil hot tub. Be sure to not crowd the pan. Because everyone hates a crowded hot tub.

Step 4: Once golden brown, remove the croutons on to a paper towel to drain. Immediately season with salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese.

Step 5: Let cool and add to a boring salad. Take a bite for immediate gratification.
