A brunch charcuterie board is the most entertaining way to graze over brunch.

Want to know what gets us revved up in the morning? A charcuterie board, breakfast-style!

Grazing boards have been gaining in popularity over the past few years.

Social media has helped to bring creative twists like candied bacon roses, salami roses and even charcuterie chalets!

These boards have also crossed into season trends (check out our hot cocoa grazing board) and aren’t just for happy hour anymore.

You could even add on mini pancakes or this easy scones recipe. Crack out the OJ, we’re bringing the charcuterie board to the breakfast table.

Breakfast board ideas

A brunch charcuterie board is SUPER flexible since breakfast can go from sweet to savory.

While you can include many brunch foods on your breakfast charcuterie board, it can be helpful to choose a main theme to center your board around.

Start with one breakfast board theme, and add in additional breakfast side dishes as a filler.

These breakfast charcuterie board ideas are a good place to start:

  • Bagel board
  • Waffle board
  • Yogurt parfaits with Homemade Granola.
  • Avocado toast board
Cornmeal Waffles

Waffle board

We centered the theme of our brunch board to be a waffle charcuterie board.

Use a belgian waffle maker in order to split each waffle into quarters or opt to make mini waffles.

We picked up this mini waffle maker which helped to ensure that there was enough room on the board for all the fixin’s!

Our charcuterie breakfast board also included:

  • Syrup
  • Nutella
  • Bacon
  • Cornbread Muffins with Cranberry
  • Sliced Sausages
  • Soft Boiled Eggs
  • Yogurt Cups
  • Brie Cheese with Honey
  • Fresh Berries or Rainbow Fruit Skewers
Sweet Cornmeal Waffles

Cornmeal Waffles for your Breakfast Charcuterie Board

The ultimate star of our glazing board were our sweet corn and cornmeal waffles!

This somewhat untraditional twist on classic waffles brought so much flavor to the board.

We adored the sweet, yet savory combination of flavors with this cornmeal waffle recipe. It paired perfectly with sweet fruit, but also was fantastic with a bite of bacon or sausage or bacon.

We even included some whole kernel Texas sweet corn bits into the batter. This made the waffles even more moist and provided a pocket of sweet flavor in a bite.

We linked up with four other bloggers and host Eddie Jackson to connect foodies from across the state of Texas with the farmers that grow their food.

This virtual event unveils the efforts farmers make to conserve natural resources, while producing quality food.

If you like meat and cheese as much as we do, send some gratitude to a local farmer for producing crops needed to feed animals where your charcuterie comes from!
