Unique Activities to do Clarksville for Couples
For being a small town, there’s a ton to do in Clarksville.
Here’s the best way to stay active while spending a couple great days in Clarksville.
Trust us, you can save the movie theaters and bowling alley dates for another destination because this town has much more unique activities.

Afternoon Tea in Clarksville at Pinky’s Up
Pinky’s Up Afternoon Tea has all the cool vibes in Clarksville.
This all pink, english-style tea house is so cute. It may just be the ultimate romantic brunch date in Clarksville.

They have multiple tiered tea experiences to choose from with a large selection of teas and bites.

We choose the “afternoon tier” with a blooming flower tea.

This option offered a great selection of both savory and sweet bites like scones and French macaroons (which we even ordered more of to-go).

Be sure to get in early so you can take advantage of the space to get selfies at all of their different tea table sections and their vintage English phone booth.

Wine tasting at Beachaven Vineyards & Winery
Beachaven Vineyards is easily one of the best vineyards in Tennessee, and we were so happy to find it in Clarksville.
They’re also the second oldest winery of the 100+ wineries currently in operation in Tennessee.

Beachaven’s tour and tasting is so affordable, and highly recommended even if you’re not the biggest wine lover, because they have a wide variety of offerings, from traditional to fruit-flavored wines.

As a wine lover, the most unique wine they had were their Seyval Blanc bottles.
Seyval Blanc is a hybrid grape similar to Sauvignon Blanc, and they make a standard flat and a sparkling version which is on the dryer side.

This is a must-visit destination in our opinion, but if you can’t make a short drive to their winery, you can also grab a glass or a bottle of their wine at their downtown wine bar while listening to local artists play live music.

Exploring Dunbar Cave State Park
Who would’ve ever guessed there’s a natural wonder in Tennessee like they have in Clarksville?!
The Dunbar Cave Park has been used for thousands of years, and there’s even prehistoric cave art dating back to the 14th century.

Exploring the outside of the state park is free year-round, but guided cave tours do require tickets.

We happened to go in the off-season so interior tours of the cave weren’t available.
However, even without the guided tour, it was awesome to hike around the outside of the cave and get into nature.

Around the state park you can participate in numerous outdoor activities like hiking, and we even saw some TikTok dancers as it’s a great place for nature lovers.

Clarksville has a vibrant dining scene with cuisines to fill any craving.
You don’t need it to be a Saturday night to make it a date night meal in Clarksville; they have great restaurants and coffee shops that you should try with your significant other.

A Cozy Meal at The Amsterdam Local
The Amsterdam Local is far and away the best coffee shop we tried in all of Tennessee.
It’s well designed and with cute bikes on the wall you can feel like you’re actually in Amsterdam.

Their coffee drinks are the essence of what craft coffee should be, and even use flavored homemade foam like eggnog.
Their baked goods are also tasty, Gavin had to go back for their fresh fruit muffin twice.

Libations and Smoked Meats at Old Glory Distilling Co.
Old Glory Restaurant & Silo Park is the place to get your fill of locally crafted Tennessee whiskey.

Stop in for a full whiskey tasting, or order a few of their cocktails, like we did.
What makes Old Glory special ( beyond their house made liquor) is their food program.

We were already pretty stuffed, but could not resist their French dip beef egg rolls and licked the plate clean.

The prime rib is smoked on-site and is packed with flavor.

Play and Sip at Strawberry Alley Ale Works
Strawberry Alley Ale Works is one of the local watering holes where you go for board games, trivia, arcade games, and bingo.
When we were there it was song bingo and we both won a gift card!

This is a great spot to sample all of their beers via a beer flight and play some games with your significant other.

Be sure to order some Tennessee Gold BBQ sauce wings!

Savor BBQ at Legends Smokehouse & Grill
Legends Smokehouse & Grill does traditional BBQ with untraditional twists.
We got their most drool-worthy, TikTok-driven burger called the Bone Collector.
This massive burger featured a beef patty, a pile of their house smoked ribs, melted cheeses, fried mozzarella sticks, and it’s finished with Legends Original BBQ Sauce.

From smoked ribs, to brisket, to smoked chicken, to pulled pork, they have the meats.
This small town BBQ joint is so great they filmed with Guy Fieri’s show “Best Bite in Town” on Food Network.

Blackhorse Pub & Brewery Clarksville for a Beer and a Snack
Blackhorse Pub is a local brewpub opened by a former helicopter pilot for the 101st Airborne Division which is stationed in Clarksville.
They brew their own beer in house, and the town definitely gathers here for their pizzas, flatbreads, and homemade beer cheese.
If you’re craving a beer and a pizza, definitely hit Blackhorse.
They can get packed, but the restaurant is big so the wait won’t be long.
If you love their homemade beer, consider getting some cans or a growler to go!

A Taste of Italy at Yada on Franklin
Yada on Franklin is one of the most popular restaurants in Clarksville for Italian fare, wood-fired pizzas, and cocktails.

If you’re looking for an Italian romantic dinner, this is your spot in Clarksville.
The bar is massive and glistens with fancy chandeliers above.

Our favorite plate was their homemade pasta with bolognese.
It was also featured by the famous Guy Fieri for their homemade tiramisu so bring your sweet tooth and your sweetie.

Have a Historic Meal at The Mailroom
The Mailroom is located in the heart of downtown Clarksville.
This historic site used to be the city’s post office.

Also, if you’re in Clarksville on a nice day they have a fantastic spacious patio complete with cozy fireplaces.

Other Restaurants to Have on Your Radar
If you loved afternoon tea at Pinky’s Up, there’s actually another option in town as well called Mad Herbalist. We didn’t have a chance to hit Mad Herbalist, but we heard great things from locals about it as well.
We also heard amazing things about Liberty Park Grill, a place to eat at the Clarksville marina. They’re open for lunch and dinner, and serve a diverse menu perfect for eating and drinking on the water.

During our trip to Clarksville, we stayed at a charming, historic Airbnb called the Homer House.
This was located right in the heart of downtown Clarksville, which made everything a short walk to so many great restaurants and activities.

Equipped with everything we needed for a romantic stay, we loved the exposed brick wall and old-school vent on the floor, which added so much charm.

Clarksville is a town filled with fun and creative Airbnbs. If you want one for a fun girlfriend’s getaway they have an all-pink Airbnb as well.
