It is the perfect mix of savory, spicy, and a little sweet.

We love how this recipe can act as a quick, weeknight delicious dinner since it’s such an easy recipe and so fast to make, but is also great for a special occasion or a dinner party because everyone adores the bold, unique flavors.

Benefits of Salmon

Salmon has quickly become our favorite fish, specifically MOWI salmon, if you haven’t noticed.

Fresh salmon fillets are packed with omega-3, and cook up quickly, which makes it a go-to, quick lunch for us at home.

We love how MOWI salmon has amazing marbling which adds extra richness and flavor to the fish.

If you’re really in a time crunch, you can even pick up their pre-marinated salmon packs where all the flavors have already been infused for you!

What is Hot Honey?

Hot honey isn’t something made from specialty spicy bees, it’s a simple but delicious combo of honey that’s been infused with spicy peppers.

It’s an amazing combination of both sweet and spicy.

We think the best way to use it is with our salmon recipe, but you can use it for chicken wings, french fries, on pizza, and more.

If you don’t think infusing your own honey is a good idea, two big brands you can buy at almost any local grocery store are Mike’s Hot Honey and Nature Nate’s Hot Honey.

Benefits of Marinating your Salmon

This easy salmon recipe takes on so many flavors thanks to mixing a number of vibrant ingredients together into a tasty marinade for this Asian salmon recipe.

Enjoy the deep, delicious flavors of Asia as the marinade permeates through the delicate fish.

This creates a more flavorful bite than just using seasonings alone.

Marinades also help to keep your protein moist and tender, it’s a win-win!

How to Prepare your Salmon

Salmon is such a versatile protein that you can choose to prepare your Asian marinated salmon using the cooking method of your choice.

  • Baked – For the easiest preparation, add the Asian marinated salmon to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake at 400 degrees F for about 12-15 minutes. This is how we make our Sheet Pan Salmon Nicoise Salad or Crab Stuffed Salmon Recipe.
  • Skillet – If you like crispy skin, we like to prepare salmon in the skillet. Start by drying the skin with a paper towel, and add the salmon skin side down to a cold skillet with a little bit of olive oil or sesame oil. Turn the burner on to medium heat and cook for 5-6 minutes until the skin is crisp, then flip and cook the other side.
  • Grilled – Cut the salmon into pieces and skewer them, just like how we make our Mediterranean Grilled Salmon Skewer Recipe or try grilling them on a wooden plank for extra flavor.
  • Air Fryer – The air fryer has become a popular method for cooking salmon too, thanks to the viral air fryer salmon bites recipe. Just preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F and cook for about 6-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fish.
  • Sous Vide – Often we choose to make sous vide salmon using our immersion circulator. Sous vide the fish in the asian marinade for 20 minutes at 50 degrees Celsius. The fish will cook right in the marinade for extra flavor. If you want to create some texture on the outside, feel free to sear the fish for 1-2 minutes after sous viding

What to Serve with this Asian Marinated Salmon

Once you’ve cooked your Hot Honey Sriracha Asian Marinated Salmon, you’re ready to plate your fish. There are a number of ways to serve your salmon:

  • Rice: This recipe takes an Asian spin on a salmon marinade and it is best served on a bed of jasmine rice or brown rice. It is a mix of sweet and carries a slight spice to it, a perfect complement to delicate salmon.
  • Salad: For a low carb meal, serve the salmon on top of a bed of fresh salad tossed in an asian dressing and throw in your favorite veggies.
  • Green Veggies: Chinese broccoli (prepare it how we make our Air Fryer Broccolini Recipe) is a great green vegetable to serve with the cooked salmon. Sauteed green beans and bok choy is another great option.
