We’re even tasting our way through 100+ nearby Fredericksburg vineyards to rank each and every one of them.

We’ve traveled around the world to learn about the best vineyards in Santorini, South African wine country, top wineries in Sonoma, we have even ran kangaroos off of the vines in Australia!

What do you do when you’re a wine lover and it’s the hottest summer in Texas history? You make frose!!

This frozen cocktail recipe couldn’t be easier. You just need 2 ingredients and a little bit of patience, so let’s get cookin’!

What is Frose?

Simply put, frose is frozen rosé wine!

Blended with additional flavors, frose is like a wine slushie.

If you are a lover of frozen cocktails like a frozen margarita or a frozen daiquiri, you’ll probably like this cool, refreshing wine-based drink. Add this to your list of the best frozen cocktails for beach day!

How to Make Frose

You might have noticed some bars or restaurants with a frose machine.

While this is handy for preparing lots of frose at once, you don’t need a fancy machine to make frose at home.

All you need are ice cube trays, a blender, and rosé wine.

We like to do half rosé and half watermelon juice in order to help achieve a more frozen texture.

As you might already know, alcohol does not freeze solid, so freezing some juice cubes helps to add in a fruity flavor and maintain a better texture.

Our watermelon frose uses watermelon sandia agua fresca, which is a sweetened watermelon beverage with a hint of lime.

But really any watermelon juice, natural or sweetened will work for this frose recipe.

You could also substitute other juices to create alternative frose flavors.

We think strawberry frose or even peach frose sounds lovely!

Just freeze your juice and rosé in ice cube trays, blend and enjoy, it’s really that easy.
