If you’re headed to Frisco, Texas, you’re probably going to be researching what are the best restaurants near The Star in Frisco.
The Star is a mixed-use development that centers around the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice field, Ford Center, and Tostito’s Championship Plaza.
This facility hosts a lot more than just football.
During the times we’ve visited The Star we’ve seen high school graduations, cheerleading competitions, as well as corporate conferences all participating in events at Ford Center and Tostito’s Championship Plaza.
That means that there are always lots of visitors who are likely looking for a good meal.
Frisco, Texas is a North Texas city about 25 minutes north of Dallas in the DFW area and home to many attractions (don’t miss our guide on the Top 25+ Date Ideas in Frisco) from museums, to sports complexes, to special events.
We’ve eaten at almost every single restaurant at Frisco’s Star district and are sharing our favorite spots for great food and a great time.
Neighborhood Services – Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star
Without question, the best place to stay if you are visiting The Star is the Omni Frisco Hotel.
You are literally footsteps from all the action and our hotel room even overlooked Tostito’s Chamionship Plaza!
Don’t rule out the restaurant inside the hotel as a dining option.
We were really impressed with the food offerings when we visited their restaurant, Neighborhood Services, over happy hour.
The reuben sandwich was juicy, meaty and flavorful. We were also obsessed with how light and fluffy the batter on the deep fried asparagus was.

Cane Rosso
Looking for a bite of pizza while hanging out at The Star?
Cane Rosso is a popular choice. This pizzeria even has a star-shaped pizza in honor of overlooking the Star complex.
While this might seem like a gimmick, it’s actually pretty amazing. Each of the star points are loaded with ricotta cheese.
Add in some pepperoni and arugula from the center of the star-shaped pizza pie and you have an amazing “hot pocket-style” snack.
Head there at happy hour for big discounts on pizzas, wine, and beer.
If you have a post-dinner sweet tooth, look no further than Cow Tipping Creamery right next door for some unreal ice cream sundaes.

La Parisienne
One of the most unique dining experiences we’ve had in Texas was the afternoon tea service at La Parisienne.
This french bistro and patisserie hosts the most adorable high tea service that was the closest thing we had to a fancy tea party (outside of London or Paris).
Your experience will start with a dedicated tea menu where you can select your desired tea based on the tasting notes described in the guide.
Looking for something with even more pizazz?
Choose a glass of bubbly from their sparkling wine menu.
Next, you’ll be in awe as a towering, heart-shaped dessert stand is delivered to your table.
Sip your tea in between bites of fancy finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, chocolate covered strawberries, and specialty pastries.
This Frisco restaurant is perfect for a special date night, bridal showers, or luncheon with loved ones.
Be sure to order the afternoon tea service 48 hours prior to your reservation.

Dee Lincoln Prime
The perfect restaurant at The Star for a date night or special occasion has to be Dee Lincoln Prime.
While primarily renowned as a famous Texas steakhouse, it must be noted that this chic restaurant also offers a sushi bar with premium toro and wagyu.
We stopped by Dee Lincoln Prime for some cocktails and appetizers during happy hour.
The vieux carre is a showstopper drink because it gets smoked right before your eyes!
Speaking of a show, we were delighted when our shrimp cocktail dish arrived with liquid nitrogen under the ice, so the plump seafood emerged from under smoke.
We also enjoyed the smoked pork belly, which was quite filling for an appetizer.
Without question, however, the beef carpaccio was our favorite appetizer to enjoy.
In fact, it might be the best beef carpaccio that we have ever tasted!
It was apparent that the thinly sliced raw steak was a very high quality, and the sauce, capers, fennel, and arugula complimented the meat perfectly.
If you’re looking to splurge, stay for dinner and enjoy their quality cuts of meat and impressive sides like their king crab mashed potatoes and lobster mac and cheese.
Dee Lincoln Prime is definitely a more expensive option, so it’s a local favorite to celebrate special occasions (they even have options for private dining rooms).

The Glen
A favorite spot of ours at the The Star, has to be The Glen.
Part restaurant, part cocktail bar, part whimsy entertainment show.
The colorful, instagramable decor of The Glen makes it a perfect spot for a date night or a girl’s night out.
In addition to the cool decor, the cuisine is over-the-top as well.
Cocktails are presented in unique glasses, and we even had a floating rubber duck on top of the foam of our drink.
Some of the unique, delicious food we enjoyed was stunning seafood ceviche and pasta ala vodka.
If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to order the dessert tower, which comes complete with a massive slice of cake, churros, and a gigantic cloud of cotton candy complete with a sparkler.
The highlight of our dinner was when the aerial artist arrived and started spinning above us as we enjoyed our nightcaps and dessert.

Tupelo Honey
If you have a craving for Southern cuisine, Tupelo Honey is the perfect place to visit.
They’re famous for the biscuits where proceeds from biscuit sales benefit a local charity.
We really enjoyed the brunch offerings of fried chicken and waffles, but this restaurant is a good option any time of the day for upscale comfort food.
There is also outdoor dining to enjoy a cocktail alongside the warm Texas weather.

Snowbird Cocktails & Kitchen
Another winner at The Star is the new spot, Snowbird Cocktails and Kitchen.
Sometimes when a chic, instagrammable restaurant comes around you sacrifice on food quality.
But we had a great experience. The cocktails were top notch when it came to balance and flavor.
The brunch menu presented a lot of latin flavors that are hard to find outside of Mexico and South America.
We adored the plump and filling tamales stuffed with cochinita pibil.
And even found Peruvian chaufa on the menu, which we haven’t seen anywhere since leaving The Best Restaurants in Lima, Peru.
During our visit it was a trifecta of great service, good food, and gorgeous decor with a great atmosphere for an upscale meal.

Tricky Fish
For all things seafood, head to the Tricky Fish!
This seafood restaurant brings in a bit of Nola right to Frisco.
You’ll find seafood from the gulf like fresh and fried oysters (even the BLT comes with fried oysters on top), redfish, and crawfish etouffee.
One thing we love about this spot is that it overlooks all the happenings going on at Tostito’s Championship Plaza, so you can belly up to the patio outdoor seating with a craft cocktail and watch all the action scheduled for the day at The Star.

Ascension Coffee
If you’re looking to grab a cup of coffee, head to Ascension Coffee, but don’t just stop for your cup of joe.
Ascension Coffee also offers pretty remarkable brunch options (read more about it in our Guide to the Best Brunch in Frisco, Texas), even though it feels like a high end coffee shop and casual lunch spot.
They also offer a wine bar if you are looking for a libation instead of a cup of coffee.
We loved the migas breakfast plate with spicy chorizo.
3625 The Star Blvd STE 300, Frisco, TX 75034
The Common Table
The Common Table is the spot for craft beer lovers. With over 40 beers on draft, there is something for everyone.
When we visited the Common Table it was during their Hip Hop Brunch event.
If you are a lover of hip hop music and are looking for brunch with a party, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal with entertainment.
Enjoy brunch shots, champagne service, and even a mimosa tower.

Monarch Stag
Whiskey aficionados, rejoice! The Monarch Stag is the place for you.
Featuring lush leather decor, craft cocktails, and sometimes live music, the Monarch Stag is a great restaurant at the Star for a post-dinner nightcap.
While enjoying a late night libation, we were even surprised with a special show.
A fire dancer entered the cocktail lounge for a fun, surprise popup show!
